Our Mission
At South Florida Geophysics, our mission is to provide reliable non-destructive imaging services. We aim to help clients identify underground structures and potential hazards, ensuring safe excavation and construction practices.
Geophysical Methods
We offer an array of near-surface geophysical methods with a wide range in spatial resolution and depth of penetration tailored to the specific needs of each study. Our capabilities include electromagnetic methods like ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and terrain conductivity, electrical resistivity imaging (ERI), magnetometer surveys, and shallow seismic.
Applications
We specialize in urban geophysical studies for the characterization and imaging of subsurface features, from sinkholes and dissolution features to unmarked graves and utilities.
Who are we
South Florida Geophysics was established in January 2024 and is owned by Xavier Comas, PhD. Dr. Comas has over 2 decades of experience in the applicability of near-surface geophysical methods for a wide variety of studies from urban settings to natural environments including karst terrains and wetlands.
